Pumpkin Chess Pie

1 stick margarine

1 1/2 c. sugar

1 tsp. vanilla

3 large eggs

1 c. canned pumpkin

1 (9 inch) pie shell (unbaked)

 

Preheat oven to 425 degrees. In large bowl cream margarine, sugar, and vanilla. Beat in eggs one at a time. Add pumpkin gradually. Pour into pie shell. Bake 10 minutes at 425 degrees. Reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake 30 to 35 minutes. Cool on rack.
