I’m venturing into unfamiliar territory since I’ve never been here before. That’s right, this is my first posting on our site. It’s time for the “old dog” to learn some new tricks!
Junior & I had a wonderful trip to Midland this past weekend. We met with many of our Texas Maze families at Fiddlesticks Farm, owned by Matt & Jessica Norton, for a mini-maze conference. Media networking was a big topic, so you see I did learn something. Of course, I had to have Anna ,my daughter, show me how to get to this page, mostly because she has all the passwords! Yeah, you believe that, right? That being said, I want to thank Sylvia Rankin for her wonderful patience with all of us. We all agree that she is a great teacher and really knows her stuff. But I assure you I’ll be burning up her phone line with questions when this computer makes a mistake.(We all know that computers make mistakes!) And of course I’m sure that will cost me some serious kolaches the next time I see her!
It was great to visit with Ken & Laurie Graff of South Texas Maze in Hondo, Mary & Larry Emerson of Dewberry Farm in Brookshire, Richard & Toni Kaska of Kaska Family Farm in West, Rodney & Cindy Davis of Manna Fields Farm in Angleton, James & Pattie Simpson of At’l Do Farm in Lubbock, Debi & Ken Capp from Divine, and of course, Matt & Jessica and Jessica’s parents Dennis & Sherry(sorry I can’t remember the last name, but oh my, can they cook!) and the couple from New Mexico whose name I don’t have. We had a great exchange of ideas and discussions about our farms. We returned home with renewed ambition and excitement for our upcoming seasons, some of which will begin very soon. Thanks to all of you for sharing your thoughts and solutions for problems. We really are a family!
